Background on
Stephen A Fregeau,
'20th Century Stained Glass Artist '

Creative expression has been a force in Stephen Fregeau's life since an early age. When he was young the seeds of precision were planted as he worked on small balsa wood airplane models.

Later his hands found the fluid possibilities of clay. Raised in the rock-n-roll era, Fregeau also became passionate about his guitar playing, and expressing his feelings through music.

Graduating from Fountain Valley High School in 1977, Fregeau began an apprenticeship program in the family business "Fregeau's Glass Works" in Huntington Beach, California. His love and enthusiasm for this art medium took ahold of him and he became immersed in every facet of art glass making.

After five years Fregeau moved to Northern California and worked for the industry's prestigious "New Renaissance Glass Works". In 1982 Fregeau moved further north and opened is own art glass studio; concentrating on commissioned work in stained glass. Almost 2 decades later "Stained Glass by Steve" continues to be the hallmark for quality custom art glass work in the region.

Fregeau has enhanced his business and computer skills by attending classes at College of the Redwoods in Eureka, California.
